Nikon ZR LUTs

Nikon's Log-Format/RAW Technical Guide: for N-Log, expose an 18% grey card to about 35% on the waveform (10-bit around 372); for Log3G10, to about 33% (10-bit around 341).

Camera settings

  • N-Log: Video file type = N-RAW 12-bit, ProRes RAW HQ 12-bit, ProRes 422 HQ 10-bit or H.265 10-bit, then Tone mode = N-Log. R3D NE 12-bit (R3D) is fixed to Log3G10 (RED Log3G10 / REDWideGamutRGB).
  • Dual base ISO 800 / 6400 in both N-Log and Log3G10. With R3D NE, metadata ISO runs 200-3200 on the low base and 1600-25600 on the high base. N-Log mode M can go down to Lo 2.0.
  • Nikon has announced firmware 2.00 (scheduled for 2026) to add Log3G10/REDWideGamutRGB to H.265 recording.
